Meet Dr. Kendal R. Piatt
Dr. Piatt has lived in Eastern Washington for 23 years and has a vested interest in the community she serves. As a safety engineer, her father took the family abroad in her youth and Dr. Piatt has kept a spirit of adventure because of it. After returning from Austria, Dr. Piatt attended school in Benton City. She left to attend Eastern Washington University near Spokane where she majored in Microbiology and minored in Chemistry. From there she attended Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She completed an externship program with an emphasis on binocular vision at Tianjin Medical University’s Tianjin Eye Hospital, Peoples Republic of China. There she studied under Dr. Kanxing Zhao, a world-renowned expert in strabismus, strabismus surgery, and ophthalmic genetics. Dr. Piatt graduated from Nova in 2003 after which Dr. Quesnell invited her to join the practice. Dr. Piatt took over the clinic in 2004 and has committed herself to providing the same high level of care that has been enjoyed by Dr. Quesnell’s patients for the past 34 years. Dr. Piatt believes in giving back to her community and is a contributor to numerous charities as well as providing care at a Nicaraguan refugee camp in Costa Rica. Dr. Piatt enjoys talking to new and expectant parents about vision care options for children, she has also spoken at senior centers regarding senior eye care.
