Dr. Hedman

Dr. Melissa Hedman grew up on a cattle ranch near Pendleton, Oregon and attended Oregon State University, where she majored in Zoology. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in 2007 and completed externships at Cascade Eye Care in the Columbia Gorge, the Veterans Affairs Clinic in Spokane, WA and the Optometry Clinic at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. She joined Grand Ridge Eye Clinic after several years practicing in the Portland Metro Area to be closer to her family. 

She enjoys fitting contact lenses, primary care of the ocular system, and interacting with patients on a personal level to make sure all of their visual needs are met. She values open communication between patient and doctor. In her free time, Dr. Hedman enjoys the company of family, friends and her pets, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
